GlossyBox is Delayed…Again...

After the length of time it took to get my GlossyBox last month, I wasn't really thrilled to receive the following email from Glossy:

We Are Doing the Best We Can

Due to extreme weather at our warehouse location in Kentucky, our shipping schedule has been delayed.

Not to Worry
We are packing your shipping box as we speak.

Well dang it.

Luxe Box

There is a new kid on the Canadian block that I am dying to get my hands on - Luxe Box.

For those of you not aware, Luxe is a new quarterly box.  I am curious to see just what they are able to source as I happen to know that Birchbox has exclusive agreements with most of the major brands.

Regardless, I jumped at the opportunity to sign up as soon as it opened.  Since then I've been able to upgrade my box to a great one with an awesome looking foundation brush - the Beauty in Bloom.

Today I was surprised to see a bunch of other bloggers have received the Benefit Premium box.  Surely this has to mean my box is on the way?  Upon logging in to their site I see that my box was due to ship today.  Rats.

And so I wait...

Second Bath Time Box Spoiler Released

Bath Time Box (http://www.bathtimebox.com) has just released the second spoiler for their March Subscription Box.

Moon Rocks.

Moon Rocks.  Hmmm not really sure what they are but I have a hunch that they are a type of bath fizzy.

Very interesting.  Can't wait to get mine!!

First Spoiler Released for Bath Time Box!

Yay! I love me my Bath Time Box!  I was super excited to see the first spoiler for March's box.

Bamboo Charcoal and Cocoa Butter Soap.

I absolutely love the look of this soap.  Activated charcoal works wonders on aging an sensitive skin, so I'm sure I will love this soap when it arrives in my March box.

GlossyBox February Review

Yes I am aware it's March. After a rather lengthy delay,  GlossyBox has finally appeared.

 GlossyBox

  • Cost: $21 per month
  • Ships to: US & Canada
  • Subscribe
  • Total Value of this Box:  $71.65!!!!

Love is the Theme.

Inside it is very well put together.

There is a card with all the product details inside:

Upon opening the box I find a very well packaged assortment of goodies.

Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter in Pink
FULL SIZE $14.00/.12 oz

I love the packaging of this balm but wish they would have included a small lip brush as I am finding it really hard to get out of the jar with my finger as I have fairly long nails.

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Curl Mascara
FULL SIZE $22.00/.27 fl oz

I was due for a new mascara so this was a pleasant surprise.  I really like the thick brush with this one.

Unwash Bio-Cleansing Conditioner
SAMPLE SIZE $6.65/2.5 oz

At first I really didn't know what to do with this product.  The card states: Show your hair some love by replacing your shampoo and conditioner with this fruit-scented formula that thoroughly cleanses without stripping natural oils, moisture, or compromising colour.  This innovative take on the popular "co-washing" trend offers a streamlined, chic, way to keep harsh detergents at bay, while improving manageability and infusing volume in one step.
Like I said, I was skeptical.  But holy moly, I am a convert.  What an awesome product.

Julep Color Treat in Heartleigh
FULL SIZE $14.00/.27 fl oz

I am a bit confused by this product as Julep has its own Subscription Box.  I am also not a fan of nail polish as I have gel nails and pay good money to keep them pretty.  This will be passed on to someone else.

Rituals Cosmetics Foaming Shower Gel Sensation in Yogi Flow
FULL SIZE $15.00/6.7 fl oz

I do like the smell of this product, however it isn't something I will use as I keep my bath and shower products as natural as possible.

Final thoughts:  At first I was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed with this box.  However after trying the mascara and conditioner I was somewhat appeased.  GlossyBox is one of my all time favourite boxes, and while this box wasn't the home run that January's was I am still happy with it.  And you really can't beat the value of this box.

What did you think of this box?

GlossyBox oh GlossyBox Where Are You?

Imagine my excitement when on February 6th I received an email from GlossyBox informing me that my February box had shipped.  I’ve been checking my mail.  Patiently.  Oh so patiently.  But alas, it still hasn’t arrived.  In fact, the tracking indicates that it’s been sitting in Calgary for over 10 days.  When oh when shall my GlossyBox appear??
